Love Canva.

23:06
I love Canva! So great for creating different sizes of graphics

23:13
Yes, I third that. I’m not very good with Photoshop and those sorta things, but I find Canva super easy to use.

23:18
Fourth that :)

31:38
I like to let folks in 30 minutes before hand, run a graphic for 15 minutes with music and then run a

31:47
“Coming attractions reel”.

31:56
Our audience has had a lot of trouble jumping from Eventbrite to OVEE. We do tell them to create their OVEE account ahead of time and run the diagnostic test. But every time we have a group of folks who either didn’t receive the email confirmation to set up their account, or they’re told they already have an account but cannot reset their password. Any ideas for how we can better assist them?

32:25
Of course peppered with welcome messages from our host.

34:03
We're hosting a Q&A later in the workshop. Please chat any questions that may come up, and we will save them for for later :)

34:40
Rachel your presentation skills and screen presence are phenomenal!

34:46
Pro-tip: If you're Zoom using as your livestreaming platform, check out this Zoom Best Practices doc from our Help Center: bit.ly/OVEE-Zoom-BestPractices

34:53
PBS-NC in Research Triangle Park, NC: We use a mp4 countdown. superimposed over a corner our title graphic. Music included. I try to watch the countdown music to the style of the program’s soundtrack.

34:53
I couldn’t agree more, Beth!!

35:36
“Match” not watch. Darned autocorrect . ;-)

35:37
Has anyone had luck adding captions or a live sign language interpreter during their Q&A? -Amy/Vermont PBS

35:39
Katherine, we saved your question! And thank you Ned for sharing your tips!!

36:16
We have also used BaseCamp heavily for communication between team members during the event. As the producer, I can have the OVEE window open and a BaseCamp ping window with all participating team members.

36:32
OVEE pulls content from Vimeo, YouTube, and PBS.org. For more info, check out this document from our Help Center:http://bit.ly/OVEE-VideoContent

38:28

38:39
Yes, Ned, I use Microsoft Teams to communicate during the event.

Has anyone had success with captions during Live Stream using Google Slides while sharing screen through Zoom?

43:58
Welcome Zoe! Zoe is our amazing Engagement & Impact Associate Manager. She's here to share a few tip and tricks that she's learned and implemented for our ILPOP virtual events.

45:14
I'd love to hear more about this Rosemary... I'm trying to figure out to how to caption live Q&As via Zoom!

58:13
@Amy- Zoom now offers Live Transcription that can be enabled on your end.

58:53
@Amy- it's automated, but pretty good as long as the speaker is clear.

59:10
That is the best news... thank you Carla!

01:00:25
I like to make a word doc of common chat responses and that way I can copy and past those to be faster on the draw.

01:02:20
That’s a great tip Ned!

01:03:02
Bravo everyone! Thanks for all your support during our events.

01:03:49
The support from the ITVS team has been incredible.... THANK YOU!!

01:04:14
We’re always happy to help!!

01:04:56
We’ve had people join anonymously and it worked great for us! We just had people chat their name to us directly to the Panelists so we could know who attended.

01:05:04
show us the way to join anonymously??

01:05:30
We get a LOT of pushback on attendees having to enter their birthdate. I understand why, but in the age of people becoming more protective of personal data, is there another way to pose the issue? Such as a click box to say 'I am over 13 years old".

01:06:32
I created an OVEE Instructions PDF and can share with you, Tiffany! It included the anonymously instructions, too.

01:06:52
That pronunciation was perfect... thanks Myah!

01:06:53
Zoom transcription does not work in breakout rooms, we hired a live CC company, feel free to reach out to me if you have questions

01:06:56
jclark@gpb.org

01:07:30
I have also uploaded captions from a video to OVEE (via Vimeo)

01:08:08
@Paulina thanks Tiffany@kinshipfilmworks.com

01:09:45
I give the Zoom operator a graphic to throw up when transitioning from the screener to the live discussion so if we don’t time the lag perfect, folks are seeing a pretty graphic.

01:09:55
I’ve found the Pause Point to not be very precise. Difficult to stop between clips, if there isn’t enough black at the end of one, or at the beginning of the other. Is there any way to make a frame-accurate pause?

01:10:04
Thank you! I've tried the video to live and back and it was a struggle....

01:10:42
Hi Rachel!

01:11:47
Thanks Myah. ;)

01:16:09
I always send a post-event email to everyone that RSVPs (since not everyone attends) and include the survey link (google doc) in that email. A giveaway is always a nice incentive (station logo item). The email also shares a link to watch the videos if they missed the event.

01:18:10
+1 to the giveaway has a really helpful incentive

01:18:20
as*

01:19:49
Why can't folks just add a fake date?

01:20:07
I have seen you join... and I appreciate it!

01:20:10
Thanks, Rachel!

01:23:51
It’s actually Glenn Abbey from PBS NC. ;-)

01:23:56
FYI thanks for answering, but that was not me :)

01:23:57
;-)

01:24:03
HI kAREN glad you are there

01:24:57
I found that it couldn't be at the end of a clip. It had to be at least 7 seconds prior to end of video.

01:25:41
I have also put a “standby for live interaction” graphic at the end of clips in the original file.

01:27:04
RSVP: https://itvs-org.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_goUV05ALSwmuo0sh5NXXGg

01:27:04
This may have been asked before, but do you utilize Canva in the same way as the powerpoint?

01:28:44
Awesome. Thanks! And yes, you said my name perfectly.

01:29:04
Our show may contain several pre-recorded videos that may have different volumes any idea how we could address that in the future

01:29:05
When I see YouTube pop-ups on OVEE are viewers seeing that too?

01:29:33
Hey Miyah,, to be clear. We're a paid event. Our audience pays via Eventbrit. We're directing our audience to come to OVEE. Once at OVEE they do have to RSVP first then they go to Eventbrite?

01:30:03
Awesome... thanks!

01:30:14
Don’t know why I hadn’t thought to make a “standby for live…” video to tack onto the end of the screening; great idea, Rachel and Ned, thanks!

01:30:30
I also prefer to use Firefox for the YouTube browser so that the video will start from the beginning every time.

01:31:11
Google is attached to YouTube and will sync you video to the last location of the playhead.

01:31:38
Great tip Ned! Chrome will save your pause point in YouTube so Firefox is recommended.

01:32:21
So, what link do we send to the audience the day before the screening?

01:32:47
Thanks, Ned & Myah. So many “gotchas”! ;-)

01:33:07
Joyce, you’d send the unique OVEE link that is generated after creating your event.

01:33:24
You can find it in My Screenings, under the event details.

01:33:34
Got it!

01:33:38
Don’t know why I hadn’t thought to make a “standby for live…” video to tack onto the end of the screening; great idea, Rachel and Ned, thanks again!

01:34:06
Are you sending an email or is this happening through OVEE to those that have RSVP'd?

01:34:37
Sharing these links again! These are great “standby” videos: YouTube Holding Animations: http://bit.ly/OVEE-HoldingScreensYouTube Intro & Outro Videos: http://bit.ly/OVEE-IntroOutroVideos

01:35:22
You could also just send an email from your own email with the reminders and the link. :)

01:35:47
Yes, that is perfect too, Karen!

01:35:51
This didn't get answeredOur show may contain several pre-recorded videos that may have different volumes any idea how we could address that in the future

01:36:01
Thank you all!

01:36:08
Thank you so much!

01:36:13
Many thanks!!
